Things That Like Air

Here is Justin's Faith in Fame print entitled "Things That Like Air". It was photographed outside of Palm Springs, CA and at Spring Fest at USC. Hope you all like it! It only exists in the Blogosphere and in the two prints that Justin and I have. Mine's already hanging on my wall!

It's a diptych now

So again many apologies for being so behind on this project. I wanted to make something extra special for my friend Justin who was the first to sign up. I've been shooting extra photos every time I have my camera, but nothing fit. I had one image from back when I photographed Goodnight Sunrise in Palms Springs that I enjoyed, but it seemed to be missing something. Then on Saturday during The Submarine's set I took a photo and had an a ha moment! That photo would go perfectly with the first one! So now, it's complete, and will be in the mail today or tomorrow, and then posted here shortly after. Thank you Justin for all your patience! I think you're going to love your one of a kind print!

Excuses

I feel I should explain the delay on Justin's photo.
My computer crashed, and I've spent the last three days feverishly trying to back up my work, and figure out why it's being evil. Turns out it was a combination of upgrading my Ram and my iPod deciding it hated me.
Now I have a shiny new hard drive, a reformatted iMac, and a lot of missing images. BUT tomorrow I'm reinstalling Photoshop, and heading out into the brave world to take out my frustrations photographically to make something for Justin.
Thank you for being so patient!

Woo We have a winner!
My good friend Justin in Little Rock is the first to order a Faith in Fame print. I'm going to hike out tomorrow and shoot something extra special for him. Thank you so much Justin!

Okey doke.
Let me explain this project here. I've happened upon another artist with a PayPal donation button on the side of their website. It's not the first time I've seen this either. Bands, artists, lazy people all seem to be jumping on the mooch train. I don't agree with this. Why should someone be expected to give you money for nothing? It doesn't make sense to me. So in response I'm starting a project called the Faith in Fame Project. How it works is you send me $30 and I send you a print.

Ok... what's the catch?

Well along with your $30 you attach a note that includes five things you like, and five things to describe you. I take said list and go out into Los Angeles and photograph something I think that you'd enjoy based on your lists. If you don't attach a list, I'll go out and photograph something completely random that I think is crazy awesome! I send you your archival inkjet print, post the image to this here blog, and blam, destroy the file on my computer! GASP! So you, the buyer, has a one of a kind original image by me the photographer.

Here's where the "Faith in Fame" part comes in. Think about it, if I become crazy famous for my work, you have a one of a kind piece that is signed, numbered (1 of 1) and you can do with it as you please! Sell it, hang it on your wall and brag, give it to someone, throw it away, whatevs, it's yours!

That image will only exist in three forms, your print, and artist print for myself, and on this blog. Future generations will look onto this blog and go "Grandma! You are so cool!" Ok maybe not really... But it could happen.

So what are you waiting for? Be the first to put your Faith in my Fame!
